This is an elegant, complex and creamy textured Chardonnay which displays vineyard derived complexity and flavours of peach, grapefruit and cashew. Naturally made with a ‘hands-off’ approach it is both food friendly and age-worthy and vividly exhibits the complexity of Bay View Chardonnay. Further interest is added with subtle oak and lees developing complexity from barrel ageing. Enjoy with rich seafood dishes, especially crayfish. We feel conservatively this has about 5 years of cellaring in it, but as with all the good wines from the Villa Maria stable they tend to hold a lot longer than you would expect.
