Luis Pato is considered the champion of the current Portuguese "wine revolution". He is the leading producer in the Bairrada district of central Portugal. Intent on maximising the potential of the area, he is constantly experimenting with new grape varieties and new techniques. The results have been remarkable. The wines are rich, concentrated and of truly world class standards. The 60 hectares of vineyards are planted mainly with the Baga grape and some Cabernet Sauvignon.
