Whitehaven’s wine maker Sam Smail has pulled one out of the bag again. A wonderful rich Chardonnay that ticks all the boxes but doesn’t break the bank. The wine displays peach, nectarine and citrus fruit characters with complex notes of toasted almonds, creamy citrus and toasty oak from the 11 months spent in 40% new barrels. An elegant, full-bodied wine with a clean, finely balanced acidity. Great for drinking now but can easily mature for another 3 years in your cellar.
