The Awatere Valley microclimate lends itself to creating wine with lovely minerality and a rich, crisp finish. The producers recognised some of these Awatere characteristics when visiting Burgundy in 2014. When making this wine they hoped more than anything that their wine would live up to their expectations. The result, much to their delight is that their Chardonnay is most certainly a new world wine with a twist of the old.
