Tony Bish Golden Egg Chardonnay 2019
95/100 Cameron Douglas MS
"A complex and layered bouquet with very specific and distinctive aromas of tension and poise, a mineral and fruit core contrasted by delicate floral leesy coil. Fine, complex and layered on the palate lead by texture and tension, fine lees and fruit tannins, acidity and wonderful heartbeat of style. Fruit flavours of grapefruit and white peach, apple and pith. Very lengthy finish with complexity, definition, texture and purity. If you are a fan of Chablis then this wine will impress with its fine oyster shell flick right on the finish. Best drinking upon release and through 2026." Drink 2021 - 2026
95/100 Bob Campbell MW (2018 vintage)
"Rich, creamy and quite concentrated chardonnay with peach, hazelnut, bran biscuit and savoury, nutty yeast lees flavours. A seamless and satisfying wine that is deliciously approachable now but promises to age well 20/12/2019."
95/100 Wine Orbit, Sam Kim (2018 vintage)
"It's elegantly fruited and exquisitely expressed on the nose showing nectarine, fig, lemon peel and nougat characters with nuances of oatmeal and cashew. The palate delivers excellent weight and concentration, wonderfully supported by focused mouthfeel and creamy texture, finishing impressively long and linear. Gorgeously poised and graceful. At its best: 2021 to 2028. $40.00. www.tonybishwines.co.nz. Dec 2019"
