This is the wineries entree Pinot Noir and compared with some South Island Pinot’s this could well be the reserve label. All fruit is 100% handpicked from vines that are now over 15 years old. It is an elegant style full of life, lifted fruit on the nose with cherry on the forefront and a midweight palate that is characteristic of the Te Muna sub-region. Nice herbaceous and earthy character underline the ripe fruit. With 14.5% alcohol this is a big Pinot for a tiny price. This wine is just perfect now but will develop further for another 3 years.
