This is the 7th vintage of this brilliant red we’ve imported from Argentina. Consistently great every year, the 2008 is no exception. Made from 100% Malbec grapes, the wine is a deep purple red colour, with bright hues. Aromas of crushed cherries, raspberries, and dried violet petals and hints of nutmeg.

Powerful mouthfeel, with an ample and structured, sustained, long finish. A great match with juicy rib eye steak, venison and aged hard cheese. This wine seriously over-delivers and though scrummy now, will cellar for another couple of years.

Maybe not the most sophisticated of wines, but in terms of upfront, raw power and intensity, this wine brings it on.
It also has some deft touches of brilliance with firm, but ripe tannins, and bags of appeal.

Try it with a good chunk of roast beef or steak. A wine that will create a lot of noise (discussion) around the dinner table.
