There’s serious bang for your buck, with this extremely appealing Montepulciano from the Abruzzo region, east of Rome, Italy.

Attractive dark cherry and blackberry notes, are complemented by some black plum and liquorice-like flavours on the finish.

With 1500ml you might want to share this wine with a bunch of friends, and a big bowl of pasta or home made pizza. Not that size matters, but it also makes an impressive gift.
